Surveys and Valuations There are three main types of reports that we carry out on property; these are Mortgage Valuation A basic inspection, carried out to value a property for mortgage purposes. It includes information about the condition of the property to help the lender decide on a mortgage offer. Homebuyer Report This is a more detailed report on the condition of the property, prepared according to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors’ format and designed to highlight any urgent and/or significant issues with the property before the exchange of contracts. Building Survey This is usually a more detailed report assessing the structure of the property and advising on any remedial works needed. Especially useful for older buildings.
